snappl turns your product photos into publish-ready eBay listings. This policy explains, in plain English, exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. We collect as little as possible.
1. Who we are
snappl ("we", "our", "us") is a web application, available at snappl.io, that helps UK sellers create and publish eBay listings from product photographs using AI. For UK data-protection law, we are the data controller for the information described below.
2. What we collect
Product photos you upload to generate a listing.
eBay access & refresh tokens, created when you link your eBay seller account. These let us draft and publish listings on your behalf. They are stored on our server and never sent to your browser or shared with anyone.
Your eBay username, retrieved once when you link, so we can show who's connected and (see below) count your listings.
Session data — a random session identifier kept in a secure, HTTP-only cookie so you stay signed in.
Usage counts — the number of listings you draft each month, recorded against your eBay username, so we can understand demand and (in future) offer paid plans.
Your listing history — for listings you publish through snappl we keep the listing's title, price, its eBay link, and how long it took to create, so we can show you your own recent listings and dashboard totals.
Reviews you choose to leave — your star rating, comment, and the display name you pick (your eBay username or a nickname). We may show these publicly, e.g. on our landing page.
Subscription status — if you upgrade to a paid plan, we store which plan you're on and its renewal date, plus Stripe's reference IDs for your subscription.
We do not collect your name, postal address, phone number, or card details. Card payments for paid plans are handled entirely by Stripe on their secure pages — snappl never sees your card. Payments for anything you sell happen entirely on eBay. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.
3. How we use it
To read your photos and generate an eBay listing draft.
To create and publish that listing on eBay when you choose to post it.
To keep your eBay connection active so you don't have to re-link every visit.
To measure how much the service is used, in aggregate, to run and improve it.
To do those things we rely on a small number of service providers, who host our application and its database, store your photos briefly so eBay can fetch them, generate your listing draft, and process payments for paid plans. They act only on our instructions and only for those purposes. Where any of that happens outside the UK, it is covered by the transfer protections UK data-protection law requires.
4. How long we keep it
Photos: deleted immediately when you discard or replace a draft, and automatically within 48 hours of your listing being published (eBay hosts its own copy for the live listing). They are not retained long-term by us.
eBay tokens & username: kept until you unlink your eBay account, which deletes them.
Usage counts: retained as monthly totals tied to your eBay username.
Listing history: kept so you can see your past listings and totals — email us to have it removed.
Reviews: kept until you ask us to remove or change yours — email the address below.
Session cookie: expires after 30 days, or sooner if you clear it.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, or delete your personal data, and object to its processing. You can unlink your eBay account at any time using the button in the app header, which immediately deletes your stored tokens and username. To request deletion of anything else, or to exercise any other right, email us at the address below and we'll action it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
6. Security
eBay access and refresh tokens are stored server-side and never sent to your browser. All connections use HTTPS, and the session cookie is HTTP-only and marked Secure. We keep the data we hold to the minimum needed to run the service.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the latest version.
